Extended deadline: January 2012 intersession class proposals

Submitted by Rosanna Vail

The deadline to submit a proposal to teach a January 2012 Intersession class has been extended to Sept. 12.

January 2012 intersession is during winter break, from Dec. 27, 2011, to Jan. 13, 2012. Proposals can be submitted to teach on-campus or online classes consisting of one to three credit hours. Noncredit class proposals are also accepted.

Intersession allows instructors to offer class topics that may not be offered during the regular academic year. These classes help students earn credits between terms to get ahead in their programs and graduate sooner. January intersession classes offered online allow instructors and students to complete a class regardless of where they spend winter break. January 2012 intersession is part of the spring 2012 term.
