Roshanravan publishes article on coalition
Shireen Roshanravan, assistant professor of women's studies, recently published her article "Motivating Coalition: Women of Color and Epistemic Disobedience" in Hypatia: Journal of Feminist Philosophy.
The article is part of a special issue on Women of Color feminist philosophy that foregrounds and brings into dialogue philosophical contributions that elaborate and address the many manifesations of racialized gender oppression. Roshanravan's article introduces as it enacts a meta-methodology for engaging the heterogeneity of women of color scholarship to sharpen our understandings of the different tools women of color theorists offer for reading the logics of multiple oppressions and for motivating coalitional movement against these logics.
