K-State 2025 sustainability planning committee is looking for participants

Submitted by Ben Champion

As the Sustainability Strategic Planning Committee for K-State 2025 proceeds with its work, it is establishing working groups to develop goals in three categories:

1) Academics — curriculum and research

2) Engagement — on-campus and external

3) Operations — energy, waste, buildings, transportation, grounds, purchasing, etc.

The leaders of these working groups would like to invite participation from any individuals on campus who would like to share their thoughts about goals to be developed in these areas. If you would like to participate or provide input into goals in any of these areas, please email the co-leaders for that area so that they can place you on a contact list to remain informed about working group meeting times and other opportunities to contribute.

Academics working group co-leaders are Lisa Harrington and Diana Farmer.

Engagement working group co-leaders are Mary Hammel and Chad Jackson.

Operations working group co-leaders are Erik Garcia and Ben Champion
