NSF Proposal Development Basics workshops

Submitted by Caron Berges

The office of research and sponsored programs will host a series of webinars designed to help you develop an National Science Foundation proposal.

This series is primarily targeted at investigators who have limited experience submitting to this agency. It will also help those investigators who just want to improve their National Science Foundation submissions. All sessions are from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

The three sessions are:

Session 1: Understanding your Audience and Reviewers includes merit review process: Writing the Project Summary and Preparing Biographical Sketches on Oct. 7.

Session 2: Successfully Documenting your Resources — more important with merit review changes: Preparing the Project Description and Demonstrating your Research Topic's Significance on Oct. 8.

Session 3: Preparing the Budget: Submitting your Proposal Using NSF Fastlane and What Comes Next on Oct. 10.

If you would like to attend one or more of these sessions — we hope you can attend all three — email your name, department, phone number, email address and the sessions you plan to attend to orsp@k-state.edu. You will receive a confirmation email giving the location of the sessions soon after. We hope you will be able to attend these sessions.
