Meet the Director

The Director of Sustainability develops a university wide approach for addressing sustainability at K-State through leadership across campus operations, academics, research, student organizations and experience, and general awareness. The Director of Sustainability is involved with many groups on campus and within in the community including:

Campus Recycling Committee

City/University Fund Committee

City of Manhattan Bicycle Advisory Committee

Movies on the Grass

Students for Environmental Action

The Director of Sustainability acts as a bridge, helping to connect disparate departments, individuals, and efforts toward a more unified and organized university community that responds to current issues of sustainability. 

The position of Director of Sustainability is currently unfilled. The Associate Provost for Institutional Effectiveness currently serves as the acting director.
