Renewable scholarships/awards for non-Kansas residents

Below you'll find a list of K-State scholarships/awards that are renewable for non-Kansas residents (those who are assessed non-resident tuition rates), granted to students either as incoming freshmen or incoming transfer students. You may verify your required GPA renewal threshold in line with your scholarship/award listing below.

For information not specifically noted below, such as the renewal dollar amount, please refer to your original scholarship award letter or contact our office for assistance and verification.

Renewable scholarships awarded to incoming freshmen (through fall 2018 entry term)

Heritage Scholarship
  • Cumulative K-State GPA required for renewal - renews at two levels, 3.00 or 3.50
  • Renewal amount - contact the Office of Student Financial Assistance to verify based on the year your scholarship was awarded and the renewal level as noted above
  • Renewable for up to four years (eight semesters) total*
  • Once bachelor’s degree is received, the scholarship is no longer available
Purple & White/Honors Scholarship
  • Cumulative K-State GPA required for renewal – 3.50
  • Renewal amount - contact the Office of Student Financial Assistance to verify based on the year your scholarship was awarded
  • Renewable for up to four years (eight semesters) total*
  • Once bachelor’s degree is received, the scholarship is no longer available
Denison Scholarship
  • Cumulative K-State GPA required for renewal – 3.50
  • Renewal amount - contact the Office of Student Financial Assistance to verify based on the year your scholarship was awarded
  • Renewable for up to four years (eight semesters) total*
  • Once bachelor’s degree is received, the scholarship is no longer available
Anderson Scholarship
  • Cumulative K-State GPA required for renewal – refer to original award letter or contact the Office of Student Financial Assistance for verification
  • Renewal amount - $3,000 ($1,500/semester)
  • Renewable for up to four years (eight semesters) total*
  • Once bachelor’s degree is received, the scholarship is no longer available
Housing Incentive Scholarship
  • Cumulative K-State GPA required for renewal – 3.00
  • Renewal amount - $3,000 ($1,500/semester)
  • Renewable for up to four years (eight semesters) total*
  • Must live in the residence halls years 1 and 2 with the option to live in Jardine years 3 and 4 
  • Once bachelor’s degree is received, the scholarship is no longer available
Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP)

*If you are enrolled in a five-year program within the College of Architecture, Planning & Design, you may able to renew your academic merit award for up to four additional years (five years, ten semesters total).

Renewable scholarships awarded to incoming transfer students (through spring 2019 entry term)

Transfer Heritage Scholarship
  • Cumulative K-State GPA required for renewal – renews at two levels, 3.00 or 3.50
  • Award amount – contact the Office of Student Financial Assistance to verify based on the year your scholarship was awarded and the renewal level as noted above
  • Renewable for up to three years (six semesters) total
  • Once bachelor’s degree is received, the scholarship is no longer available
Transfer Purple & White/Transfer Honors Scholarship
  • Cumulative K-State GPA required for renewal – 3.50
  • Renewal amount - contact the Office of Student Financial Assistance to verify based on the year your scholarship was awarded
  • Renewable for up to three years (six semesters) total
  • Once bachelor’s degree is received, the scholarship is no longer available
