Application Information--For the 2017-2018 Academic Year

Developing Scholars Program AND Edgerley-Franklin Urban Leadership Scholarship

This application is for FRESHMEN who wish to apply to both the Developing Scholars Program (DSP) and the Edgerley-Franklin (E-F) Urban Leadership Scholarship. To apply for DSP and E-F, click here: Online application (the Edgerley-Franklin Urban Leadership Scholarship is ONLY available to incoming freshmen).

Developing Scholars Undergraduate Research Program Only

This application is for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors (freshmen NOT applying to the Edgerley-Franklin Urban Leadership Scholarship). To apply ONLY for the Developing Scholars Undergraduate Research Program, click here: DSP ONLY application (online).

**The following items are also required for the application:

*Letter of Reference: Include a letter of recommendation on school letterhead from a teacher or counselor (include his/her address and phone number).

*Resume: Include information regarding academics, leadership, and community service.

Please submit these items by email to cortez@ksu.edu, or by mail to Developing Scholars Undergraduate Research, 1800 Claflin Rd Suite 001, Manhattan, KS 66502, by the January 15th deadline.

Applications are due by January 15, 2018.*

*January 15th is the priority deadline for applications for the Developing Scholars Program. Applications received after January 15th will be considered dependent on space in the program.

 

Scholar Spotlight

Marta Stetsiv

Marta Stetsiv is a DSP scholar majoring in Biochemistry. Stetsiv is one of 33 students selected to participate in the Johnson Cancer Research Center mentoring and awards program. Stesiv dissects fruit flies and analyzes the protein in their muscles, then creates graphs filled with complex data from what she discovers.
