Research Experiences for Undergraduates Program

Welcome to the K-State Biology REU Site 

The K-State Biology REU Site Program is coordinated by the Ecological Genomics Institute, the Konza Prairie Biological Station, and by faculty and staff in the Division of Biology at Kansas State University.

The K-State Biology REU program has been offered annually since 1995, and runs for 10 weeks each summer. To date, participants in the Biology REU program have included 221 students selected from 136 colleges and universities in 37 different states/territories.  Please tour our REU website for more information about our program!  We welcome enquiries at any time from prospective students who are interested in participating in the Summer REU Site Program in the Division of Biology at Kansas State University. 

The research theme of the REU Site program for 2015-2017 is "Ecology and Evolutionary Biology of Changing Environments: Integrating from Genomes to Biomes.”

The deadline for new applications is February 15 for each year of the program.  This website is usually updated with lists of mentors and available projects each fall, please check back after mid-November for new information.
