Exploring Science and Technology (EXCITE!)

Exploring Science and Technology (EXCITE!) is a STEM enhancement program for high school students that offers an in-depth immersion in a particular discipline during its four day summer workshop. This program is designed to encourage and support student to pursue a future in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. This program offers one-day events and a summer workshop on the main K-State campus in Manhattan KS for high school girls and events off campus for high school boys. All events offer hands-on activities that focus on how scientists and engineers help make the world a better place.

This program also conducts academic year programs including information about college placement exams and scholarships and offers the opportunity to shadow a university student attending classes and other activities. For more information, see the EXCITE! website.

Faculty members interested in developing programming for EXCITE! should send an email to kawse@k-state.edu or call 785-532-6088.
