Description of Research

My doctoral research is focusing recruitment in organizations. One of my studies is attempting to increase rated attraction to a STEM training program advertisement and also increase perceived sense of belongingness to that program through the use of gendered wording. Another study is looking at the role that goal orientations have on one's outcome and efficacy expectancies in relation to recruitment material. Finally, I am attempting to situationally influence one's goal orientation through an intervention to see if this can increase his or her outcome and efficacy expectancies (possibly increasing the likelihood that s/he would feel confident and comfortable in undertaking the advertised STEM training program).
