LEAD: Legal Education Accelerated Degree
The LEAD program, designed for incoming freshmen, allows you to earn your undergraduate and law degrees in less time without sacrificing educational quality. You will begin by working on a bachelor's degree at Kansas State University in one of these areas:
College of Arts & Sciences
College of Agriculture
College of Business Administration

After three years, you will transfer to the University of Kansas School of Law, where you will complete your K-State bachelor's degree and your KU law degree — in six total years.

LEAD Program Application and Admission Requirements
High School Seniors Applying to K-State
Only a select number of students will be admitted to this program. For consideration, high school seniors applying to K-State must:
- Be admitted to K-State for the summer or fall term.
- Have a minimum 3.5 GPA on a 4.0-weighted scale.
- Have an ACT score of at least 26, or an SAT of at least 1170.
- Prior to admission to KU Law, students must meet the bar-required character and fitness requirements and the required LSAT and GPA scores, which are currently a 157 LSAT and a 3.5 GPA.
- Submit a program application.
Current K-State Freshmen
K-State first-semester freshmen are also eligible to apply through December 15th. First-semester freshmen must:
- Have matriculated at Kansas State University
- Apply during their first semester at K-State.
- Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0-weighted scale.
- Have an ACT score of at least 26, or an SAT of at least 1170.
- Prior to admission to KU Law, students must meet the bar-required character and fitness requirements and the required LSAT and GPA scores, which are currently a 157 LSAT and a 3.5 GPA.
- Submit the program application no later than December 15th.
