Spring 2021

Enrollment for Spring 2021 is just around the corner, starting November 2nd for graduates and select seniors. As we continue to expect unusual semesters under the presence of COVID-19, changes have been made in order to make classes safer and more manageable for students. These changes, called "modalities", come in a variety of terms. For more details on this, please see the information listed under Spring 2021 Modalities and Modality Definitions.

Interested in what Political Science has to offer next semester? Our course schedule for Spring 2021 is now available to view, just click here! Also, make sure to check out our course flyers below that provide more details on select courses. Check often for updates!

Wondering when you'll be able to enroll? You can check your enrollment date in KSIS now! Simply log in and look under the tab labeled "Enrollment Date". You should also check under your "Advisor" tab to check who your academic advisor is if you do not already know. Graduates, seniors and high level juniors can meet with their advisor much earlier than their enrollment date, though for all other students it is best to schedule advising closer to their enrollment date.

Spring 2021 Modalities

As with the Fall 2020 semester, most courses for Spring 2021 will have course modalities. These modalities were made with the general health safety of both students and faculty in mind, and with the purpose to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 on campus. Click here to download our Course Modality schedule, which lists all Political Science courses available for the Spring 2021 semester and their modalities.

Modality Definitions

Navigating through the terminology of different course modalities can often be confusing. What is the difference between synchronous and asynchronous? What does a remote lecture mean in comparison to a in-person driver modality? Click here to download a list of modality definitions, put together in the effort to provide clarity to students as they decide which courses (and their modalities) will work best for them in the upcoming semester.
