Brianne Heidbreder

Brianne Heibreder

Brianne Heidbreder is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Kansas State University.  She also serves as the Department’s Director of Graduate Studies. She earned her B.A. from Minnesota State University Moorhead, M.A. from Kansas State University, and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. 

She is currently serving as the “Reviews and Essays” Editor of State and Local Government Review, which is the official journal of the Section on Intergovernmental Administration and Management of the American Society for Public Administration.

Brianne’s research interests fall at the intersection of state and local politics and public administration exploring topics such as gender and representation and the impact of lobbying efforts at the state and local level. Her work has appeared in State Politics and Policy QuarterlyLegislative Studies QuarterlyState and Local Government Review, and Politics and Policy.

She teaches courses on U.S. politics, gender and politics, urban politics, and public administration.
