Become a C.P.E.
Counseling Services peer education program provides undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to become nationally certified peer educators. Upon certification, students are invited to become Active C.P.E.'s and work with our Outreach staff to fulfill presentation requests from classes, Greek life, and other student groups across campus. C.P.E.'s also help plan, coordinate, and implement large-scale campus events (i.e. Pet Away Stress, Mental Wellness Week, etc.) from the idea stage all the way through to the day of the actual event.
To become a C.P.E. for Counseling Services students need to take EDCEP 311 (the section marked: Peer Advocates for (m)ental Wellness and Success). The course counts as an elective for all majors and can be taken for 1-3 credit hours.
