K-State has numerous opportunities for domestic students to be involved in international activities at K-State.
International Coordinating Council is an organization with a mission to foster relations between International students and Americans by hosting different events. ICC’s main aim is to bring unity among diversity at KSU campus. We work with different international organizations at KSU and try to bring everyone at one platform.
International Buddies is a program designed to assist incoming international students with their transition to Manhattan and Kansas. It gives participants an opportunity to learn about other languages and cultures, improve English-speaking skills, and make lasting friendships.
The English Language Program's (ELP) primary purpose is to provide English instruction to students who are qualified to begin university work but do not meet English proficiency standards for the university. The program also offers English instruction to international students who choose to come for language training only or as a study abroad experience.
International Student and Scholar Services provides essential immigration services for over 1,400 international students and scholars from nearly 100 countries who are involved in educational programs or research at K-State. Additionally, the ISSS welcomes countless American students, faculty, staff and community members in the exploration of other cultures and the celebration of international festivities.
ISSS also sponsors a weekly shopping shuttle for international students and monthly events to help international students feel more like a native Kansan.
