Kimberly A. With, associate professor of biology, is also director of the Laboratory for Landscape and Conservation Ecology at Kansas State University. Her research areas of interest include ecology, conservation biology and landscape ecology. With has been integrating computer simulation modeling with experimental or field investigations, usually involving either birds or insects. With is a member of the Cooper Ornithological Society, the Ecological Society of America, the International Association for Landscape Ecology, Sigma Xi, the Society for Conservation Biology and is an elective member of the American Ornithologists' Union. With was promoted to the rank of associate professor in 2002. She graduated magna cum lade with a bachelor's degree in biology, emphasis vertebrate zoology, from San Francisco State Univeristy in 1985, her master's degree in biology from Arizona State Univeristy in 1988, and her Ph.D. in biology from Colorado State University in 1993.
