Chris Guy, associate professor of biology at Kansas State University, is an assistant unit leader in fisheries for the United States Geological Survey. He is associate editor for First International Ictalurid Symposium and North American Journal of Fisheries Management and is a member of the American Institute of Fishery Research Biologists and the American Fisheries Society.

Guy has presented more than 50 technical papers on fisheries biology and related topics and has had more than 30 articles published in scientific journals. Throughout his career Guy has received about $875,000 in grants to study fisheries.

He received his bachelor's degree in fisheries and wildlife management from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1987 and his master's and doctorate degrees in fisheries in 1990, and fisheries sciences in 1993, from South Dakota State University.
