In June 2016, Kansas State University's Mediasite content and services were migrated from an off-campus hosting service to on-campus facilities. While the new on-campus Mediasite system should seem familiar to those who have previously used the off-campus hosted system, there are some steps faculty and staff should perform to ensure their Mediasite content and tools are working properly.
For Canvas Instructors
Check your course(s)
Look over your Canvas courses to confirm your Mediasite content loads and plays properly. If something is not working properly, it is usually easiest to simply add the content to the course again.
Alternatively, if you feel comfortable working in the rich content editor's HTML view, you can simply replace all appearances of "kansasstate.mediasite.com" with "mediasite.k-state.edu" in the HTML code.
Check your Mediasite Desktop Recorder software
If you use the Mediasite Desktop Recorder installed on your computer to record Mediasite content for your course and have not updated your connection since June 2016, you will need to update the software's connection settings so your recordings are uploaded to the new Mediasite server.
For Mediasite Desktop Recorder Users

For Website Content Managers
Webmasters and others responsible for their website's content should update their Mediasite links and embedded videos as soon as possible. It is as simple as changing "kansasstate.mediasite.com" to "mediasite.k-state.edu" in your link or embed code.
Links to the old Mediasite system will return an error after June 14, 2017.
For College/Departmental Mediasite Administrators
Mediasite recorder appliances
Your unit's recorder appliances have been reconfigured to upload recordings to the new Mediasite server. The functionality of the recorder is not expected to change as a result of the migration.
Media import projects
For administrators using media import projects in Mediasite, the project may need to be added to new Mediasite system. If the project already exists, you will need to re-enter the (S)FTP credentials and save the project settings.
Mediasite management portal access
The domain name in the URL used to access the Mediasite management portal has changed. Simply change the "kansasstate.mediasite.com" portion of your bookmarked URL to "mediasite.k-state.edu" and it will point to the new server.
