K-STATE AT SALINA SIGNS 2+2 AGREEMENTS WITH BARTON COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND NORTHWEST KANSAS TECHNICAL COLLEGE; RENEWS ONE WITH COLBY COMMUNITY COLLEGE

SALINA -- Kansas State University at Salina has signed 2+2 agreements with Barton County Community College and Northwest Kansas Technical College, and has renewed an existing agreement with Colby Community College.

The 2+2 agreement with Barton County Community College, Great Bend, is for dietary management.

The three agreements signed with Northwest Kansas Technical College, Goodland, are for respiratory therapy, engineering technology and telecommunications analyst.

The renewed agreement with Colby Community College is for veterinary technology.

The 2+2 agreements formalize the process students use to build an associate's degree earned from the two-year college into a bachelor's degree in technology management with two more years of study through K-State at Salina. The technology management degree can be completed entirely online.

A formal agreement is not needed to transfer directly to K-State at Salina, which accepts many other technology concentrations including fire science, hazardous materials, emergency medical services, aviation, construction and criminal justice.

K-State at Salina also has 2+2 agreements with several other two-year colleges in Kansas to earn a bachelor's degree in engineering technology.
