MANHATTAN -- The annual Friends of the Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art fundraiser will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at Kansas State University's Alumni Center.

Funds raised will support the purchase of works by regional artists who represent the best of Kansas' visual arts culture.

The theme for the evening is "Night and Day," which is based on the musical repertoire of Donna Tucker, a Wichita-based jazz vocalist and performer. A Kansas native, Tucker attended K-State.

Tickets for the event are $125 and are available by contacting Ladonna Piper at 785-532-7718. Attendees are asked to wear cocktail attire.

For more information, call the Beach Museum of Art at 785-532-7718 or drop by the museum on the southeast corner of the K-State campus at 14th Street and Anderson Avenue. Admission is free, and complimentary visitor parking is available next to the facility. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and Sunday from 12-5 p.m. The museum is closed Mondays.
