MANHATTAN — The Kansas State University chapter of Blue Key Senior Honorary has initiated 16 new members for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Blue Key recognizes upperclassmen at colleges and universities throughout the nation for an exemplary and balanced record of achievement inside and outside the classroom. K-State Blue Key is a premier honor society that provides members unique opportunities to serve campus and the local community through scholarship, leadership and service throughout the year.

Throughout their year, Blue Key members will have the opportunity to lead a variety of programs, including Quest Freshman Honorary and Catalyst: A Self-Development Program. Members also will have the opportunity to facilitate LeadX workshops to various student organizations and groups, award endowed scholarships to K-State students and organize a leadership appreciation reception for student leaders and advisors across campus.

The following students, all who will be seniors in the 2022-2023 school year, are new members of Blue Key; included are major, hometown, and officer position:

Katie Sleichter, political science and global food systems leadership, Clay Center, director of leadership programming; Reagan Riley, human development and family science, Hiawatha, co-director of Quest.

From Greater Kansas City: Marta Richenburg, history and political science, Kansas City, co-director of Catalyst; Stacia Mendoza, finance, Lenexa, president; Megan Splichal, management, Olathe, director of LeadX; and Anika Roy, nutrition and health, Shawnee, director of retreats and team training.

Alycen Berridge, elementary education, Nickerson, director of banquets and recognition; Alesha Bergner, agricultural technology management, global food systems leadership, and natural resources and environmental sciences, Pratt, director of nationals and scholarships; Taylor Davison, concurrent master of public health and human health biology, Salina, co-director of Catalyst; Parker Vulgamore, agriculture economics, ScottCity, director of leadership appreciation; Kaleo Vincent, athletic training and rehabilitation sciences, Valley Center, co-director of Quest; Jeff Ebeck, finance, Wellsville, director of alumni and legacy; Emma Bise, human development and family science, Wichita, director of personal and professional development.

From out of state: Logan Elliott, animal sciences and industry, Asbury, Missouri, director of public relations and marketing; Jenika Hazelbaker, agronomy, Spanish and global food systems leadership, Wentzville, Missouri, director of membership; and Bryston Warren, agriculture economics, Odell, Nebraska, vice president.
