Register your student organization for the 2022-2023 academic year

Submitted by Ashley Douglass

Student organizations play a vital role in the student involvement opportunities available on campus. With that in mind, the Center for Student Involvement, or CSI, provides student organizations the opportunity to register with the university so that organizations can reserve rooms on campus, apply for Student Governing Association funds, utilize OrgCentral, and participate in CSI programs and workshops.

Student organization registration and renewal for the 2022-2023 academic year starts today, April 1. The priority deadline for groups to register is May 13. Any group that does not meet this deadline will be set to "inactive," no longer appear in the list of student organizations at K-State, and members will be unable to access their group’s information in the system without contacting the Center for Student Involvement directly.

Registration and renewal requirements for the 2022-2023 academic year:

  • Download the existing constitution in the OrgCentral portal and update as needed.
  • Complete the online registration form in OrgCentral.
  • Complete the President Checklist.
  • Download the OrgCentral mobile app.
  • Watch the Student Org Basics training video and pass a quiz.
  • Watch the OrgCentral Officer Training video.
  • Complete the Annual Student Organization survey.

Additionally, departmental student organizations will need to have the advisor accept the advisor officer position and have the sponsoring unit head complete the college/department/unit sponsorship form.

Organizations can track their progress in completing the various steps via the Registration Progress Report. The Center for Student Involvement website provides more detailed instructions and resources, including additional information for those interested in starting new organizations.

Questions about the student organization registration process can be directed to the Center for Student Involvement at studentinvolvement@k-state.edu or 785-532-6541.
