Minutes - September 18, 2015

A brief meeting was called to order by James Copeland, KDØICP, during the weekly 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. gathering in the club station.

Max Nager, KD2GJM, was elected as activities manager. He will serve until the annual election of officers in January.

The club had quite a successful outing to the Mini Makers Faire on Moro Street in Aggie on September 12. A VHF and HF station were set up and demonstrated by James Copeland, Reid Saylor, KEØEIE and Earl Watkins, KEØASI.

There was a discussion on how to manage keys to the club station. David Yoder, KAØJPM, reported that more often than not, members with station access do not return their key upon leaving the university. No action was taken.

The club is registered as Amateur Radio Club under OrgSync. This offers a way for prospective members to see who we are, and what we're about.

KSUARC will continue to meet on Friday mornings. For those who might be interested in joining us, our station is in 401 Seaton Hall, on the southwest corner of Seaton Hall, across from Ahearn Field House. Only our station and the elevator room are on the 4th floor level of Seaton, which is accessible by the southwest stairway, by a really impressive extension ladder that you brought to school with you, just in case, or by helicopter.

David Yoder, KAØJPM
Secretary-Treasurer
