Minutes - February 4, 2003

The meeting was called to order in 274 Rathbone Hall by President Mike Spottswood, KCØIWH at 7:10 P.M.

Mike, KCØIWH, John, NØYRL, David, KAØJPM and new member Craig, KCØOHS were present.

There was a discussion on the best day and time for club meetings. A motion was made and seconded that meetings for spring semester be changed to 1st and 3rd Thursdays at 7 P.M. The motion passed.

The pop machine has not yet been sold. It was informally agreed to see what sort of offer we can get. The machine had been offered on eBay for $75 minimum. No one took advantage of the opportunity.

There was discussion on our tubes surplus. A recent bid list from Antique Electronic Supply was passed around. For most tubes, they require new old stock tubes (in original boxes). They will consider some of the older, more rare tubes in used condition. Many of the tubes on this short, separate bid list were the single-digit variety, such as 45, and some of the audiophile tubes. No action was taken. It was informally agreed to pursue a buyer who would accept our used tubes with the high-impact newsprint wrappers.

The near-marathon meeting was adjourned at 8:57 P.M.

David Yoder, KAØJPM
secretary-treasurer
