K-State clinched a berth in the DI Collegiate Sweet 16 and a repeat of last year's divsion championship with a 61-0 victory over Truman State. The game was played in front of a solid crowd at Memorial Stadium. It didn't take long for K-State to get on the board with the first try of the match. The try was converted for a 7-0 lead, less than 3 minutes in. A few minutes later, with K-State putting lots of pressure on, lock Parker Staats was red carded for an infraction at the ruck, so K-State was forced to play a man down the rest of the match. This slowed the team down a little bit but not much. Scrums were still solid, with No. 8 Tyler Hodges and flanker Jake Dull splitting time at the missing lock position, and K-State won most scrums despite going 7 against 8. K-State kept the pressure on for the rest of the match, putting it out of reach by halftime at 35-0. K-State scored four more tries in the second half, and kept up the strong defense with a wave of fresh legs coming on as subs. K-State scored 9 tries, with 4 players scoring multiples and center Brett Frawley scoring 3 to finish the game 61-0.

The b-side / clubside dominated as well in a short game.
