Call for Proposals

 “Explore-Discover-Connect”

Priority Deadline for Submission is Monday, July 31, 2017

The Host Committee of the Kansas Student Affairs Conference (KSAC) invites submission of proposals for conference programs for the annual conference, to be held October 20, 2017, in Wichita, Kansas.  All proposals will be reviewed by the KSAC Host Committee. Submit your proposal online using the link to the right by July 31, 2017 for priority consideration. Conference Theme: 

  • Explore the many facets and career options in the student affairs profession.
  • Discover new topics and ideas that may spark your passion.
  • Discover new insights about yourself.
  • Connect with others who share your interests and career goals.

The 2017 KSAC Host Committee is looking for presenters who want to share their passions and interests in the service of inspiring others, helping participants explore the professional terrain, and discover insights about themselves.  Below are suggested topic areas for programs.

  • Do you have an interesting career path? 
  • Do you have a passion for the students you serve? (International, medical, veteran, non-traditional, LGBTQ+, athletes, etc.)
  • Are you writing a thesis, dissertation, program evaluation, process improvement or conducting research you are willing to share?
  • Are you passionate about an aspect of higher education, such as sustainability social justice, leadership, studying abroad, wellness, community service, etc.?
  • Are you interested in how we develop self-awareness through identifying strengths, emotional intelligence, spiritual development, communication styles etc.?
  • Have you participated in a NASPA Knowledge Community or in another leadership role?  

Additional topics are also welcome.

Programs are typically 50 minutes in length.  Shorter presentations and posters will also be considered.  The committee welcomes proposals from graduate students and professionals in all areas of Student Affairs as well as advising.  Presenters will be notified regarding the status of their proposals via email.
