Prior Events
- Shadow Days - a chance for high school students to experience a day in the life of a current K-State student! Students in grades 9-12 with an interest in STEM disciplines are paired with an undergraduate woman who shares similar interests. Together, they attend classes, tour campus, share lunch and discuss what it's like to be a woman in STEM. 3-4 days held each semester.
- Show Me The Scholarships - while this event was tailored towards high school juniors and their parents, it is open to all students grades 9-12. Representatives from K-State offices, including Financial Services, New Student Services, and Office of Nationally Competitive Scholarships, hosted workshops to answer burning questions. The day ended with a panel discussion led by current K-State students. The last event was held in 2015.
- Summer Workshops - An annual 3-day, 2-night event held on the K-State campus in Manhattan. Open to students in grades 9-12, the summer workshop is a chance for aspiring STEM professionals to participate in hands-on activities from a variety of science, technology, engineering, math, pre-health and agricultural disciplines. Workshops are led by K-State faculty, staff and students. Students also experience life as a college student: they sleep in the dorms, eat at the dining facilities, visit K-State facilities, and meet current K-State student mentors.
