If you receive a Phishing Scam in your email that asks for your password, we want to know about it. We can use the information found in the "Extended Headers" to send alerts to the service provider responsible for sending the message. This usually results in the "reply-to" address being removed from the internet.
If you want to report one of these scams to us, all you have to do is send the email along with the extended headers to Abuse@K-State.edu.
If you just want to see what scams are out there, or see if someone already reported a scam, you can check out the IT Scams Blog.
Every once-in-a-while a virus is discovered that isn't detected by the Trend Micro Office Scan software just yet. In the case that one is found, you can submit it to the Office of Information Security and Compliance and we will be sure that Trend knows about it and protects against it in the near Future.
If you aren't absolutely sure how this tool works, please contact the Help Desk. You wouldn't want to accidentally get infected while trying to report the problem.
Use this form to upload suspicious files for analysis by the K-State Office of Information Security and Compliance. Leave your email address in the comments section if you would like us to update you when the issue has been resolved.
