Duo early enrollment incentive program

K-State is offering Duo two-factor authentication for all students! Early student enrollment is from Nov. 7 through Jan. 13. Students who enroll early will be entered into a drawing to win a pair of Apple AirPods. During the early enrollment event, K-State will give away 20 pairs of Apple AirPods. The drawing will be held on Feb. 1, 2023.

To enroll in Duo, students must complete a short Qualtrics survey. After completing the survey, students will receive an enrollment email within three business days with details about enrolling. You will need a laptop or desktop computer and your mobile device for the two-minute self-enrollment process.

Eligibility

  • Students enrolled for at least one course for the fall 2022 semester on the Manhattan, Olathe, or Salina campuses.
  • Students enrolled for at least one online course for the fall 2022 semester.
  • Student employees who are already enrolled in Duo do not need to re-enroll. You will automatically be added to the Apple AirPods drawing.
  • Students who are also benefit-eligible employees of Kansas State University are not eligible.
  • Faculty or staff members who are taking classes are not eligible.

Incentive Rules

  • Students must do both: complete the Qualtrics survey prior to Jan. 13, 2023, and complete the Duo enrollment prior to Jan. 31, 2023, to be entered into the prize drawing.
  • The prize is a pair of Apple AirPods (2nd generation).
  • Winners will be randomly drawn on Feb. 1, 2023.
  • Winners will receive an email notification by Feb. 8, 2023.
  • Winners must claim their prize two weeks after receiving the email notification.
  • Winners will be required to complete a W-9 form, receive an IRS 1099 form, and be responsible for the taxes on the gift.
  • A W-9 must be completed and delivered to the Office of Student Life by two weeks after being notified that they have won a prize.
  • Winners will be required to provide a mailing address. All prizes will be shipped directly to the student.
  • Prizes are non-transferable.
  • Students who accept a prize must agree to allow their name and likeness to be used to announce their prize status publicly.
  • Prizes may be subject to certain date restrictions.
