Travel to Campus
Attention: Changes to Entry Screening
Effective immediately, all international students entering the US will be directed to secondary inspection after completing the first level of screening by the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to confirm students' eligibility for entry to the US.
We recommend allowing a minimum of 2 to 3 hours between connecting flights from your port of entry (the first airport you land at in the United States.)

What to expect when you arrive at a U.S. Port of Entry
Please go to this U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Website.
Plan Your Arrival
You may be refused entry into the United States if you attempt to arrive more than 30 days before OR any time after, the program start date listed on your SEVIS I-20/DS-2019 form.Make your travel arrangements as soon as possible. Please plan your travel so that you will arrive no later than the date on your I-20/DS-2019 form and admission letter. This will give you ample time to rest before orientation begins.
MHK - Mahattan Regional Airport
We strongly suggest flying into the Manhattan Regional Airport (MHK), located only minutes away from campus. We provide a free shuttle for arriving students from the airport to campus. There are 5 flights a day to/from Dallas International Airport (DFW) or Chicago O'Hare Airport (ORD). If you can arrange your international flight to bring you through Dallas or Chicago, you can then connect directly to Manhattan.
MCI - Kansas City International Airport
The Kansas City International Airport is a much larger airport than the Manhattan Regional Airport. This option may offer greater flexibility and more arrival options. However, Kansas City is more than 200 km (130 mi) from campus and we do not have a pickup service available for students arriving at this airport. Transportation options from Kansas City to Manhattan will be expensive.
