Initial Appointment Templates
These templates replace the Appendix 12. Please select the appropriate template based on the type of appointment, fill in necessary information, and e-mail to kstatecareers@ksu.edu for approval. Once approved, Talent Acquisition will then forward the contract to the Provost for required signatures.
Regular Appointment. (doc) This template is used for any unclassified administrative/service appointments that are exempt or non-exempt. This template is for regular positions that include a “notice of non-reappointment.” For tenured faculty with an administrative assignment, use the Initial Tenured Faculty template.
Term. (doc) This template is for positions that have a ‘term ending’ date. This can used be for exempt, and non-exempt positions.
Regular Appointment. (doc) This template is for regular positions. For example, this can be used for an Instructor.
Initial Tenured Faculty. (doc) This template is for a tenured faculty appointment, including one which carries an administrative assignment. For example, this can be used for a Full Professor or for a department head or dean.
Initial Tenure-Track. (doc) This template is for a Tenure-Track Faculty Appointment only. For example, this can be used for an Assistant or Associate Professor.
Joint Appointments. (doc) This template is for a Tenured Faculty Appointment. This is for positions that will be split among two different departments. For example, this can be used for a Professor who will be teaching in two different departments.
Joint Appointments - Term. (doc) This template is for a Tenured Faculty Appointment. This is for positions that will be split among two different departments, and has a ‘term ending’ date. For example, this can be used for a Professor who will be teaching in two different departments.
Term. (doc) This template is for positions that have a ‘term ending’ date.
Clinical. (doc) This template is for a one year contract for Clinical-Track Faculty Appointments.
Clinical Three Year. (doc) This template is used for a three year contract for Clinical-Track Faculty Appointments.
Clinical Five Year. (doc) This template is used for a five year contract for Clinical-Track Faculty Appointments.
Clinical. (doc) This template is for a one year contract for Clinical-Track Faculty Appointments.
Clinical Three Year. (doc) This template is used for a three year contract for Clinical-Track Faculty Appointments.
Clinical Five Year. (doc) This template is used for a five year contract for Clinical-Track Faculty Appointments.
