HRIS Training: Recording Time and Leave Information Using HRIS

Course Name:  HRIS Time and Leave

Prerequisite:  Be able to use a web browser that supports HRIS and attend the HRIS On-Line Basics course

Department:  Human Resources

Length of Session:  2 Hours

Audience:  Department HR Liaisons

Session Description:  An interactive one-on-one training session will be offered by trainers from Human Resources who have expertise in time and leave entry.  Participants will have access to a computer during the training.  

Session Objectives:  As a result of this session, participants will:

  • Gain knowledge of policies and procedures
  • Understand time and leave deadlines
  • Understand about the relationship between work and holiday schedules, position management, earnings code and employee data
  • Print employee time documents
  • Identify earning codes to be used for different employee types
  • Enter employee's time and leave from employee time documents
  • Practice error detection and correction
  • Maintain leave balances
  • Understand time entry pages and leave accrual pages in HRIS

Enrollment will be confirmed by an e-mail response to the sender.
