Introduction to Supervision for Supervisors of USS Employees
Introduction to Supervision for Supervisors of USS Employees is a series of courses specifically designed for supervisors of university support staff. Individuals who are eligible to enroll in this course include university support staff, unclassified staff, and members of K-State faculty.
Overview
This program is mandated by Kansas State University for all university support staff supervisory personnel. It is to be completed within six months of the original appointment. Those enrolled in Introduction to Supervision should be full-time employees currently supervising university support staff. Faculty and unclassified staff who supervise are welcome. The series provides new supervisors with practical leadership skills and an increased awareness of university policies and procedures.
Schedule
Introduction to Supervision sessions are presented by various departments in Human Capital Services during the months of February, June, and October. Please check back often for specific dates and times. To participate in the Introduction to Supervision series, please enroll in WTD077 in HRIS. Please note that when participants enroll in WTD077, it guarantees enrollment in all of the sessions associated with the training. Participants do not need to enroll in individual training sessions. If you would like to attend a session individually without completing the entire Introduction to Supervision series, you may enroll in the individual offering of the course you wish to take or please contact Human Capital Services -Learning and Development at 785-532-0185 or learning-develop-hr@ksu.edu with specific questions.
