Graduate student space

The Graduate Student Space, located on the third floor of Eisenhower Hall, is for use by all Kansas State University graduate students. The space is accessible Monday-Friday between 5:30am-10:30pm.

Types of space

The area has both social and quiet study space, as well as rooms that may be reserved for group meetings, collaborative research, or recurring GTA office hours during a semester.

Accessibility

The third floor of Eisenhower Hall is accessible only by stairs. If accommodations are needed, please contact the Graduate School at 785-532-6191 or gradschoolrooms@ksu.edu.

Restrooms are not available on the third floor. The nearest restrooms are on the second floor in rooms 209 and 210.

Drop in or Reserve a space

Reservations are not required. Students can drop in and use any open space, but reservations may be made. View calendars to check the availability of each room. Please submit reservation requests at least two days before the space is needed. If a reservation is need on shorter notice, please contact Megan Miller (mmmiller@ksu.edu, 785-532-6191).

GTA Office Hours

Graduate teaching assistants (GTAs) in need of private space where they can meet with students may reserve a room for an hour a week for each class they teach or are assigned as a GTA.

Group Meetings

Need a space for a graduate student organization meeting? Working on a collaborative research project with graduate students from across campus and need a place to meet? Reserve a room for a single use or recurring meetings throughout a semester.


Drop in Workspace

Graduate students looking for a desk and quiet place to work are welcome to use rooms without a reservation at times when the rooms are not reserved for GTA office hours or group meetings.

Parent Workspace

Are you a graduate student who is also a parent of young children? If you are in need of a space where you can work and bring your child with you, the parent workspace in 303 Eisenhower is the space for you!

Children should be accompanied by an adult at all times. Parents are encouraged to bring toys for their children to play with. The Graduate School is accepting donations of kids books, toys, and fans
