Why I chose K-State:
I chose K-State mainly because of the Applied Family Science master's program. The department has faculty that have years of experience in divorce research and program evaluation which I am passionate about. Also, I love that every college or office in K-State has at least a phrase or quote to reflect its values. I enjoy reading them and they inspire me a lot. I also desired to have international exposure where I would build connections with other professionals in my field of interest. Above all, I love the color purple and the sense of family K-State creates for both domestic and international students. K-State has a ton of resources to help you succeed in graduate school both professionally and academically.
What I enjoy about Manhattan, KS
I love the people! Manhattan is a small town and it is easy to think there is not much to do here. However, I have had the opportunity to visit places and do some really cool stuff with my American friends. The people here are always excited and ready to help. There is also the opportunity to get free food from the local farmers once every month and at other exciting events on campus.
