Workout with your Student

Parents may utilize the Chester E. Peters Recreation Center when accompanied by their student on September 14th from 8am-8pm free of charge.  Parents will need to sign a waiver prior to use of the Recreation Center on the day of their visit.

K-State Women's Soccer vs. Missouri State

Cheer on the K-State women's soccer team as they take on the Missouri State Bears on their home field! 

Students are granted FREE admission with a valid student ID.

Locked Manhattan

The first escape room adventure in Manhattan, Kansas focused on providing an unforgettable adventure for all of our players. The escape rooms are intricately designed through countless hours of research and planning. The idea behind escape room games is that you and your friends are locked in a room which is filled with puzzles that will lead to your hopeful escape. You have one hour to investigate the room, piece together clues, and solve puzzles in order to find your way out.

Behind the Scenes Tour of the College of Veterinary Medicine

Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine offers a "Behind the Scenes Tour" of the Veterinary Health Center. Visit the Anatomy lab and take a tour through the Small Animal and Large Animal Hospitals. Learn what it takes to become a veterinarian and what veterinarians do on a daily basis.

Need a place to eat with your student??

The Derby Dining Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.  Breakfast is $8 per person, lunch is $11 per person, and dinner is $13 per person for all-you-care-to eat food in Derby.  Children ages 5 to 10 are half price and children under 4 years of age are free with a paying adult meal.  You can view the food options available here.

Jardine Cornerstone Coffee and Bakery (2000 Tunstall Circle), located within the Jardine Plaza Neighborhood will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Game day biscuits and gravy will be served along with a variety of house-made pastries.  Single biscuit is $2.25 and double is $4. Other snacks, beverages, and convenience items are available for purchase at Cornerstone.

JP's Sports Grill in the Jardine Apartments will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and will feature their game day menu

Union Station by JP's Gastropub, located within the K-State Student Union, will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Check out their full menu here!

The Welcome Center will be open to visitors, and Admission presentations will take place in the Theater.

Presentations will be given at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30, and will last a half-hour.

K-State Legacy Pinning Ceremony & Brunch

Celebrate your family's K-State tradition! The K-State Parents and Family Association will host this traditional celebration of loyalty to K-State. The ceremony recognizes the commitment of K-Staters across generations and concludes with parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, and others pinning current K-State students as a symbol of shared loyalty to the purple and white. Family members who are not alumni are honored with K-Stater by Choice recognition. Participants will enjoy a delicious brunch followed by the program and ceremony.

Konza Prairie

Located in the Flint Hills of northeastern Kansas, Konza Prairie Biological Station is a native tallgrass prairie preserve owned by The Nature Conservancy and Kansas State University and managed as a field research station by the K-State Division of Biology. Grab a donut and some coffee before you start your day! This donut shop in Aggieville has a fun atmosphere, great homemade treats, and bikes for rental, as well!



K-State Family Tailgate

The K-State Parents and Family Association is pleased to host this 13th annual event, formerly known as Family Time in Cat Town. Registration will begin at 12:30pm. Every K-State parent, family member, and student is invited to this event. 

Held in conjunction with Family Day, this casual pre-game event begins two hours prior to kick-off of the K-State vs. UTSA football game. The event will feature great food, the chance to purchase tickets to win $2,000 in FREE tuition for your student, fantastic door prizes, a fun-filled tailgate experience area, a photo booth, a visit from Willie the Wildcat, and the opportunity to meet and interact with other parents, families, and K-State administrators.

NOTE:  A limited quantity of discounted football game tickets are available with registration and must be purchased separately.

Tours of the K-State Campus will take place departing from the Berney Family Welcome Center. Walking tours will depart at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00 and 12:30PM, and will last a half-hour.

Family Day at the Beach

Come see the new exhibition "Chipping the Block, Painting the Silk: The Art of Norma Bassett Hall." A special display on printmaking tools and techniques will help you to better understand the print making process. Also on display: The Common Work of Art, chosen to complement K-State's Common Book, "The Hate U Give" by Angie Thomas.

St. Isidore's Catholic Student Center Tailgate in Cat Town

St. Isidore's Catholic Student Center is pleased to host a tailgate in Cat Town on Saturday, September 15th. All St. Isidore's students, families, and alums are invited to attend. This pre-game event will begin three hours prior to kick-off. It promises to be a great time for all and an opportunity to meet and interact with other fellow St. Isidore's parents, families and alums. Please go to www.stisidores.com to find more information.
