Shadow Days

High school students (grades 9-12) are invited to come experience a day in the life of a college student! Each participant will be paired with a current K-State student who shares similar interests in science, technology, engineering, or math. Together they will attend class, tour campus, share lunch, and discuss what it's like to be in a STEM major at K-State.

If you are interested in bringing a school group to an EXCITE Shadow Day, please contact Sara Heiman at kawse@ksu.edu to schedule your visit.

Summer Workshop

The EXCITE Summer Workshop is a three-day program held on the K-State Manhattan campus. This workshop is designed to encourage and inspire high school girls to pursue a future in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) and pre-health professions. Students will stay overnight in the residence halls and participate in hands-on activities led by K-State faculty and students.

This event is intended for students who will complete grades 8, 9, 10, or 11 in May 2018. (If you will be completing grades 5, 6, or 7, please check out our GROW Summer Workshop!) Students are welcome to attend as individuals, or as members of a school or community organization group.

June 2018 - 16th Annual EXCITE Summer Workshop
