K-State Parents & Family Association

Get involved with your student’s education and become a part of the K-State family!
Parents can engage in their student’s college experience by participating in campus programs and activities specifically geared towards families. Parents and family members of K-State students are automatically members of the K-State Parents and Family Association! As a member you will receive invitations to fun events like Family Day, the annual Family Time in Cat Town and Open House. In addition, you will also have access to the K-State Parents and Family Association hotline, Web site, and e-mail address.

Contributing member donations currently support the association. In addition to providing membership programs and services, the K-State Parents and Family Association also supports specific student-centered initiatives.

The current funding priorities include:

  • Student scholarships
  • Emergency fund for students in crisis
  • Orientation and enrollment and K-State Legacy programs
  • Campus Safety Awareness Video

As a contributing member to the fund, you receive additional benefits, like VIP invitations to receptions and banquets, updated newsletters and an official K-State Parents and Family Fund Roots and Wings discount card. In the past years, parents and family members donated more than $100,000 to support K-State students through the PFA fund. The K-State Parents and Family Association provides a variety of resources for families to help support programs at K-State that enhance student development in all aspects Parents and family members provide valuable service to the K-State community through their participation as volunteers at a variety of functions.

Use your talents and interests to support the Parents and Family Associations. You can help out by:

  • Serving on the PFA Advisory Board
  • Participating in fundraising for the Parents and Contributing to the Parents and Family Fund
  • Representing the PFA at information booths at recruitment events
  • Welcoming new K-State families at orientation and enrollment
  • Hosting regional receptions for prospective students
  • Sponsoring an internship or allowing a student to job shadow
  • Assisting with Family Day and Open House activities
