Virtual Drop-In Advising via Zoom
Virtual Drop-In Advising via Zoom is provided Monday through Thursday, noon to 4 p.m. in central time. Drop-In Advising is meant for brief resume/cover letter critiques.
Thursday, November 19, will be the last drop-in session for the fall semester. We will return when the University starts again in January. Please make an appointment for your resume critique through Handshake after this date.
Steps to Log In for Drop-In Advising
1. Students should click to join the Zoom meeting or enter the following meeting ID in their Zoom app.
Meeting ID: 894-519-640
2. A new window will pop up for additional authentication. Students should choose "SSO" or the single sign-on option.
3. Students will be asked to authenticate that they are using the "ksu" domain and will be prompted to enter their eID and password.
4. Students will be admitted into a waiting room before entering the Zoom conversation. Upon entry into the conversation, a Career Center representative will welcome you and ask for your eID once more. You will then be placed in a Zoom break out room to have a 1-on-1 advising session with a Career Center representative.
Students, please have your document(s) pulled up before entering the Zoom meeting in order for you to
a) share your screen during the advising session or b) share the documents via chat or email, if needed.
Students will be able to save any notes/annotations made by the Career Center representative at the end of the session. If you have any issues connecting, please feel free to call us at 785-532-6506 or chat with us instantly via the chat feature on our home page.
For students needing more in-depth support for their career documents or job search, we encourage scheduling a full appointment with your career advisor via Handshake.
