What is Handshake?
Handshake is a modern platform for career services management for hiring K-State students and alumni. It uses cutting edge technology to better connect you with qualified candidates.
Use Handshake to post job and internship listings, register for career fairs, manage on-campus recruiting, advertise your events, and message students and alumni who meet your qualifications. You will also be able to promote your brand more effectively by customizing your employer profile, job postings and events to be more visually appealing to students.

FAQs
Under normal circumstances, it typically takes 3-5 days to process pending employer approval requests. If your request is not complete in this time frame, please log in to Handshake and check your notifications for any comments regarding your registration.
If you have an urgent need to post a job or internship listing for K-State students, please contact Debbie Owens at careercenter@k-state.edu or 785-532-6506.

In Handshake, click "Fairs" on the left menu and then select "Show Registered Only." To find upcoming K-State fairs, search for "Kansas State." We recommend you click "Follow Career Fair" on fairs you've registered for to receive updates and easily find them in the future.
If you don't see "Request an Interview" on your Handshake homepage for K-State, contact careercenter@k-state.edu or 785-532-6506 to request access to the service. If you do see "Request an Interview" and still need assistance, please review this Handshake help article.
We do not allow employers to book info sessions and events via Handshake. Read more information about how you can connect with K-State students with info sessions.

Your job will not actually post to a school and show up under "Job Postings" until your account is approved at a particular school. You should be able to find all jobs under Job Templates.
Employers now have the ability to view their job postings as students would in Handshake! Learn how to preview your post.
Follow these steps to edit your job posting.
You can view any of your expired jobs on Handshake by following these steps.
Learn how to duplicate your job. This is helpful as previous, expired jobs reopen — you can just duplicate the job instead of having to create a new one.
If your job has expired and you would like it to remain open to applicants, you will want to renew the job at all or some of your approved schools. Learn more.
Learn how to access your applicants on Handshake.
If you're wanting to download applicant resumes or create what is frequently referred to as a "resume book," you can do so yourself from your Handshake account! Create a resume book.

On Handshake, you'll be able to reach out to an applicant directly in-app, or via your personal email. Lear how to contact applicants to your job.
Changing the contact that will receive applicant packages from your job posting can be done by editing your job.
If you've had few or no responses to your job posting, review these steps to improve your response rate.
If you're the owner of your company's profile on Handshake, you can easily edit the company's information at any time.
If a staff member is no longer with your company and you'd like to remove them from your staff management list, you have the ability to deactivate their account.
If you are the current owner of your company's profile on Handshake and you're wanting to transfer ownership from yourself to another user, you can easily do so.
