Message From The Directors
Dear Cat Band,
We are waiting counsel from the university regarding capacity to meet again and get schedules all set out to you. We have some plans currently set in place and we will be giving you information once it is confirmed from the university. When the policy from the university are set, we will let you know about our next plan for everyone. Our biggest focus is everyone's safety as we go through this next phase. We will keep you updated via email and social media accounts about our plan for both Pub Crawl Band, Volleyball Band, and Cat Band ensembles once we get an official word from the university. We appreciate your patience and flexibility during these challenging times. Keep playing throughout the summer and we hope to see you all during this fall semester!!
"Playing in the Cat Band has been an extremely rewarding experience. Not only do I get to "rock out" to some great tunes, but we have the opportunity to watch some of the best college basketball the NCAA has to offer."
The Cat Band is a group that plays during men's and women's basketball games, as well as other events in the community to energize the Wildcat Nation!!
The Cat Band is under the direction of Dr. Alex Wimmer.
2019-2020 Cat Band Auditions:
Basketball Season is just right around the corner and so are Cat Band Auditions! The Cat Band plays for all K-State Men's and Women's Home Basketball Games. It is a great experience and a very fun group to be a part of. With this year's projected basketball success there is also a very real possibility of NCAA Tournament Travel. We will also be playing tournaments in Kansas City (Women's/Men's Big 12 Tournament and other select games)! The rehearsals are just three short mini-camps in October and the band is divided into two bands of equal strength.
