“Dr. Kraemer-Holland blends rigorous analysis with a deep commitment to supporting educators,” said Suzanne Porath, associate professor in curriculum and instruction and Kraemer-Holland’s nominator. “Her work not only deepens our understanding of current policy pressures but also provides pathways for more equitable teaching and learning. She is a rising leader in curriculum, literacy and educational policy research, and she brings distinction to K-State.”
In addition to her individual scholarship, Kraemer-Holland is recognized for her collaborative and mentorship-focused approach. She has co-authored publications with colleagues and graduate students, helping guide emerging scholars as they develop their own research trajectories. Several of her articles appear in open-access journals, expanding access to her findings for teachers, policymakers and the broader public.
Kraemer-Holland teaches graduate courses on Advanced Qualitative Research Methods and Curriculum Theory. Her work has been published in the Journal of Curriculum Theorizing, the International Journal of Qualitative Studies in Education, the International Journal of Qualitative Methods, and Teaching and Teacher Education, among other outlets.
