Seeking new advisor: Silver Key Sophomore Honorary

Silver Key members.
Kansas State University's Silver Key Sophomore Honorary, a leadership honor society emphasizing community service, is seeking a new advisor.
Silver Key advisors attend bi-weekly business meetings, executive council meetings and service activities. They provide guidance to officers and committee chairs, assist with the new member selection process, oversee officer elections and transitions, help members develop self-discipline and responsibility, and act as role models for Silver Key students.
This organization has served K-State and the community for decades, originally starting in 1922 as SPARKS. During the late 1980s, the honorary became a chapter of the national SPURS organization, until disaffiliating in 1995. Members of the student organization at that time voted to call the group Silver Key. Now, 30 years later, Silver Key continues to serve as a leadership laboratory for emerging leaders at K-State.
Silver Key students are dedicated to scholarship, leadership and service. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or above to apply and represent majors from all over campus. Silver Key is active on campus and in the community. Past activities have included fundraising for the Manhattan Emergency Shelter, assisting with student projects on campus, sponsoring the Boys and Girls Club at a K-State basketball game, cleaning an adopted section of Highway 177, and hosting game nights for military families
If you are looking for a rewarding experience with students, please contact current advisors Kathryn Harth and Amanda Burris, or Silver Key student chairperson Ashlyn Pulsipher, and complete the Silver Key New Advisor Information Questionnaire.
