Overview

The symposium focuses on new insights gleaned from analyzing arthropod genomes and is designed for scientists interested in genomic studies of Arthropods, both model organisms and those of agricultural or health relevance. The program will include a welcome reception, platform presentations and arthropod genomics-related poster sessions. A few poster abstract submissions will be selected for platform presentations. Postdoctoral, graduate, and undergraduate students are also encourage to attend.

Schedule

Sessions will begin Wednesday evening, June 12, at 7:30 p.m. with an opening keynote presentation and welcome reception. Thursday and Friday will feature talks by featured speakers, abstract presentations and poster sessions. The presentations will conclude Friday at 5:00 p.m. The symposium will wrap up with the event Night at the Konza Prairie that will include an optional hike on Butterfly Hill, dinner, entertainment and socializing at the prairie. The full symposium schedule will be posted under Schedule when it is finalized.

Speakers

For this year’s Arthropod Genomics Symposium, speakers were selected for the following sessions: i5K/Comparative Genomics, Stress Response, Microbiome, Evo/Devo, Vector Biology and Bioinformatics. Registration

To attend the 2019 Arthropod Genomics Symposium, registration is required. Information on Registration Fees, Online Registration, Cancellation Policy and more can be found under Registration.

Abstract Submission

Interested in presenting a poster at the symposium? A few poster abstract submissions have been selected for platform presentations within the symposium sessions. Abstracts are still being accepted for the Poster Sessions. More information on submitting abstracts can be found in Abstract Submission.
