B.A. (English) Michigan State University
M.A. (International Education) SIT Graduate Institute
I began working at KSU in the fall of 2009 as a Study Abroad Advisor, then was promoted to Study Abroad Assistant Director, and have served as the Education Abroad Director since 2014. As Director, I oversee all Education Abroad initiatives at KSU and supervise the Education Abroad staff. I enjoy volunteering within the field of International Education and currently serve as a Peer Reviewer for the Forum on Education Abroad's Quality Improvement Program (QUIP), and have also held positions with NAFSA. Prior to KSU, I worked as the study abroad outreach coordinator at Western Michigan University. As an undergraduate at Michigan State University, I participated in a faculty-led study abroad program to Florence, Italy where I studied Italian language and culture. I was also able to explore my family roots in Poland as an undergraduate. Upon graduating from MSU, I moved to Madrid, Spain, earned a TESOL certificate and began teaching English to business men & women. I taught English in Spain for about 2 years, before returning to the US to begin my graduate program in International Education at the SIT Graduate Institute. While teaching in Spain, I met my wife, who was studying in Spain from Australia, her home country. I'm originally from East Lansing, Michigan and enjoy visiting my family in Michigan and my wife's family in Australia.
