On your way to a distant city, you decide to take a small detour. The sun has not even quite risen yet and what you hope is a pleasant spring day. As you drive along in the early morning darkness, you approach a town called Butterberry Hill. There's a small restaurant, called the Blue Moon Cafe, that seems friendly enough. You decide to stop for a cup of something warm to drink. The place is clean and tidy. The waitress, named Bambi, welcomes you to town with a hearty laugh and suggests you have their special. Why not. It's a long trip, and the short drive this morning has left you feeling pretty hungry. After your meal is finished, Bambi encourages you to stay and visit the friendly people and places in and around the town. A short vacation day sounds good. After clearing the dishes from your table, Bambi spreads out a map and suggests where you might start. |
