Key ideas
1. Learn the fundamentals of first aid.

Activity
Children should have a fundamental grasp of basic first aid skills. Your local Red Cross should have classes that your students could take appropriate for their age. Physical education classes could also train children in first aid procedures. Children should know what to appropriately do when someone stops breathing or receives a physical injury. Finding an adult is not always the best solution.
