Accountability
With authority comes accountability, “…subject to the obligation to report, explain, or justify something; responsible; answerable.” Like it or not, we are accountable to the community for the actions of our children. I am afraid that this is perspective is becoming less popular. For example, something your adolescent does may not be your fault but as the parent, you are still accountable.

Children are human beings, not clay



Authority degrades without responsibility. Think of what that word means: response-ability. To use our authority wisely we have to know how to respond. Taking this course strengthens your responsibility in providing guidance.
