Consider the challenges: costs
At first glance there are many reasons why someone should not become a father. A child is expensive and exhausting. A child can disrupt career goals and limit one’s freedom to do as one pleases. A child can challenge relationships with a partner. A child can be born with some form of disability. A child can be injured or even killed. The cost can be high, very high indeed.

You don’t really know what the costs will be. Whether facing these costs are worth the benefits is something you have to consider. What I have tried to do in this course is to describe the likely costs so you can anticipate and manage them if you become a dad.
