How anger affects us
Anger always involves arousal that begins in the brain. Three systems can be affected:

Cardiovascular (heart)
Gastro-intestinal (digestion)
Skeletal-muscular (muscles)

Consider the following list of reactions to anger. Note in your journal which of the three systems (or combination) are involved in the reaction (cardio, gastro, or skeletal). I will provide what I believe to be the correct answers in the next frame.

Headache
Heart racing
Rapid breathing
Dry mouth
Upset stomach
Constipation
Backache
Flushed face
Biting teeth
Ulcers
